Gresham is the fourth-largest city in Oregon and the second-largest city in the Portland metro area. It is made up of a large mix of young professionals and families. The 23 miles of Gresham make for beautiful scenery. They are also safe and sound. While some areas of the city have schools, others are home to affluent families. Some of the best four-year schools are just outside Gresham, including Lewis & Clark College, Corban and Concordia Universities, and Linfield and George Fox Colleges.

There are many schools that offer private education, both at the secondary and higher levels. Portland College is a popular Roman Catholic campus located just 13 miles from Gresham.

The 7.6 unemployment rate in the town is quite reasonable considering that it is lower than the national average. Many students decide to start their careers right here after they have graduated from school. The Boeing Company,  US Bank, and ON Semiconductor are some of the most prominent employers in town, each employing almost 2,000 workers.
