About Gresham, Oregon

Gresham is the fourth-largest city in Oregon and the second-largest city in the Portland metro area. It is made up of a large mix of young professionals and families. The town boasts its beautiful parks and excellent education system. It is widely considered one of the best places in Oregon to live.

The area has 144 days of sunshine per year, with residents taking advantage of the Gresham climate which never gets too hot or cold. Gresham Neighborhoods

The 23 miles of Gresham make for beautiful scenery. They are also safe and sound. In an effort to improve the quality of life and foster a sense of community among residents, 16 neighborhood associations work together to keep them involved in crime prevention, subdivision improvements projects, and volunteering. While some areas of the city have schools, others are home to affluent families. You should check out homes near Powell Valley, City Center, and NE 181st Avenue if you are looking for high-end living in Gresham. You may consider moving near the elementary, middle, and high school campuses located in the community on or near W Powell Boulevard.

Gresham has a low crime rate. However, there are some areas in the province that are a little more secure, such as those near NE Halsey Street and NE 201st Avenue.

Three school districts serve the area, Gresham–Barlow, Reynolds, and Centennial. Thousands of youth in the region are educated at dozens of locations throughout town. Mount Hood Community College, a two-year college offering a variety of associate's degrees, is the best option for post-secondary education in the city. Some of the best four-year schools are just outside Gresham, including Lewis & Clark College, Corban and Concordia Universities, and Linfield and George Fox Colleges.

There are many schools that offer private education, both at the secondary and higher levels. Portland College is a popular Roman Catholic campus located just 13 miles from Gresham.

Gresham Employment

The 7.6 unemployment rate in the town is quite reasonable considering that it is lower than the national average. Many students decide to start their careers right here after they have graduated from school. The Boeing Company,  US Bank, and ON Semiconductor are some of the most prominent employers in town, each employing almost 2,000 workers.
