Portland Public Schools (PPS) is the main school system. It's a PK-12 district that has more than 49,000 students. It includes 79 schools located in more than 100 cities. PPS is ranked above average compared to national statistics. Portland Public Schools will become entirely virtual until at least Jan 28, 2021

Niche reports that PPS ranks at 60% proficiency reading and 49% in math. The average Portland high school senior graduation rate is 78%. PPS offers many extracurricular and after-school activities. There are also many pre-K options available for parents.
